Proposal Engineer – Mechanical

Job Description & Requirements

1.) To review tender documents and other related documents and find out relevant information necessary for tender.

2.) To estimate for costing purpose for tender for Mechanical work scope (Piping, tank, equipment, fire fighting etc), including finding out cost and sourcing for supplier/ subcon.

3.) Work with other proposal team members and other department including engineering, procurement, project and BD on tender estimation and submission.

4.) To support others disciplines (incl. civil, E&I etc) in proposal department for various works that may need when required, including documentation.

5.) To report to Proposal Manager, and carry out any other works required.

6.) To support tender activities when required including all related documentation works e.g. prequalification document etc.

7.) To support BD activities as and when required especially in connection with Tender works, including follow up with Client on submitted tenders, calling clients, meetings etc.

8.) Occasionally may need to travel to overseas for tendering / BD activity.

9.) Any other works as instructed by Proposal manager and/or BD manager.

10.) Give support (e.g. QS, project department, etc) on matters relating to price estimation etc.

Minimum around 3 yrs experience in relevant field preferably with Plant (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Infrastructure) / Industrial related.

Good spoken & written English.

Experience in costing, tender, project, site experience preferred.

Strong in MS Excel, good skill on other MS Office.

Added Advantage:

– With design experience.

– Able to read drawings and prepare simple Autocad drawings.

– Experience at BIM or any other estimation software.

– Chinese speaking (due to communication with Client).

– Driving license.
