PROPOSAL MANAGER

Job Description & Requirements

  • To lead and manage tender team for all tender and related activities (including turnkey EPC tenders with Civil, Mech, E&I scopes) allocating tasks and follow up to ensure tender is submitted in proper order.
  • To review tender documents and other related documents and find out relevant information necessary for tender, and ensure all tender submission document are in order and submitted as requirement.
  • Material Take-off, and estimate for costing for tender for Mechanical work scope (Piping, tank, equipment, firefighting etc) and other related, including finding out cost and sourcing for supplier/ subcontractor.
  • Work with other department including BD, engineering, procurement, project, etc on tender estimation and submission, or other necessary works.
  • To report to or work with Senior Technical Manager and /or BD Manager, and carry out any other works when required
  • To support tender activities when required including all related documentation works e.g. prequalification document, tender result follow up/ review/ etc.
  • To review tender commercial matters and liaise with commercial personnel when required.
  • To support others (incl. Civil, E&I etc) in tender department for various works that may need when required, including documentation.
  • To support BD activities as and when required especially in connection with Tender works, including follow up with Client on submitted tenders, calling clients, meetings etc.
  • Give support to other department or personnel (e.g. QS, project, engineering, finance department, etc) on matters relating to tender relevant matters, price estimation etc.
  • Any other tender related works including pricing strategy, pre-tender review, pre-award contract review, handover of awarded project to project team.
  • Any other works as instructed by Management.
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • 5 years relevant experience
  • Any engineering/ project/ construction knowledge and/or experience will be an added advantage
  • Able to interpret drawings.
  • Knowledge of recent prices in relevant EPC / Construction works, and accurate in cost estimation
  • Good with Microsoft Office, Autocad viewing and ADOBE
  • Any knowledge of MS Project / Primavera will be added an advantage
  • Good communication skill.
  • Lead and manage team effectively.
  • Bilingual. Able to read, write and speak Chinese is an added advantage.
